Which file format should I use when publishing to Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP)?

As Amazon recommends publishing ebooks with reflowable text in epub format, we provide an epub file optimized for Amazon KDP. The file has been optimized for Amazon KDP and is only guaranteed for upload to them and may not work on other publishing sites.
